This past weekend, the 2021 Goodwood Revival celebrated engineering expertise and strong motoring heritage. Despite the ongoing Delta variant, more than 150,000 visitors attended the Revival event, which is also an important part of Swiss watch brand Rolex’s motoring heritage. The brand has been supporting motorsports for more than 90 yers — ever since Sir Malcolm Campbell’s record-breaking feats at over 300 mph (483 km/h) in the early 1930s.

For the past 17 years, Rolex has supported the Revival in a variety of ways, including sponsoring the Rolex Drivers’ Club and acting as the Official Timepiece of Goodwood Revival. The weekend included competition with 30 closed-cockpit GT cars from the 1950’s and ’60’s vying for the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy,  a great Mini Cooper race and so much more. Rolex rewarded the Driver of the Meeting with an  Oyster Perpetual Datejust 41 — a highlight of the weekend.

“Everyone has been so desperate to see the Revival return,” says Sir Jackie Stewart, a Rolex ambassador for more than 50 years.  “It has come back with force in 2021. The collection of cars is as usual outstanding, and, likewise, the collection of people – it can’t be compared to anything else in the world, that’s why Rolex supports this event. It’s a privilege to attend and get swept up in the extraordinary detail of such a unique occasion, I absolutely love it.”
